PregSafe provides digital tools designed to help users check the safety of food products, cosmetic ingredients and related items during pregnancy and when trying to conceive ("TTC"). PregSafe uses:

• A proprietary cosmetic ingredient database owned and maintained by PregSafe
• Food product data supplied by third-party sources, including user-generated entries from Open Food Facts
• A large language model ("AI assistant") confined to the data sources we define

PregSafe is an informational tool only and does not provide medical, dietary or clinical advice.

PregSafe does not provide medical, clinical, nutritional or diagnostic advice. All information in the app, including ingredient ratings, food safety assessments, explanations, recommendations and AI-generated responses, is for general informational purposes only.

• PregSafe is not a medical device.
• Always consult a qualified healthcare professional (doctor, midwife, obstetrician, fertility specialist) before making health-related decisions.
• You must not rely solely on PregSafe for any medical, dietary, pregnancy, TTC or skincare decisions.

PregSafe's cosmetic ingredient ratings ("Avoid", "Use with Caution", "No Risk Found") are based on our own research, interpretation and chosen criteria. These standards are subjective and may differ from those provided by:

• Medical organisations
• Regulatory bodies
• Scientific institutions
• Healthcare professionals
• Other databases

PregSafe does not claim its safety ratings represent universal consensus. You acknowledge this when using the service.

The PregSafe app accesses food product information from Open Food Facts, which includes:

• Manufacturer-provided data
• Label scans
• Information submitted by users of that platform

Because some entries are user-generated, ingredient lists, allergens, nutritional details and processing scores may be incomplete or inaccurate.

PregSafe:

• Does not verify every food product entry
• Cannot guarantee the accuracy or completeness of food data
• Is not liable for any decisions made on the basis of incorrect or outdated information
• Provides guidance strictly based on the data supplied within the product entry at the time of analysis

The user is responsible for checking product labels directly.

The PregSafe AI assistant operates within a confined data environment but may occasionally:

• Misinterpret user queries
• Provide incomplete or ambiguous responses
• Fail to recognise certain products or ingredients
• Generate text that is not fully accurate

AI-generated content should be treated as informational only and cross-checked where necessary. PregSafe is not liable for errors or omissions generated by the AI assistant.

Access to PregSafe may require a one-off payment or subscription. Prices will be displayed within the app store listing and may vary by region.

Payments are processed through the relevant app store (Apple App Store / Google Play Store), and all billing matters (including VAT, invoicing and payment methods) are governed by that platform's policies.

By subscribing, you authorise the platform to charge your payment method automatically.

PregSafe provides digital content under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

8.1 When Refunds Are Available

You are entitled to a refund only if the app is faulty, meaning:

• It does not function as described
• It fails to provide the core features advertised
• It cannot be accessed due to a technical defect not caused by you

If the issue can be repaired or resolved within a reasonable time, PregSafe may provide a repair or replacement before issuing any refund.

8.2 When Refunds Are Not Available

Refunds are not available for:

• Change of mind
• Misunderstanding of the app's purpose
• Dissatisfaction with subjective safety ratings
• Minor bugs, glitches or imperfections that do not prevent the overall functioning of the app
• Issues caused by inaccurate or incomplete third-party data (e.g., Open Food Facts user submissions)
• Incompatibility with a device that does not meet technical requirements
• Failure to read or follow instructions
• Duplicate purchases caused by user error

Minor bugs are expected in software and do not entitle the user to a refund under UK law unless they materially impair the product.

PregSafe reserves the right to assess whether an issue constitutes a material defect.

8.3 App Store Refund Rules

Refunds are processed exclusively through the platform where you purchased the app (Apple or Google). PregSafe cannot override decisions made by these platforms.

By using PregSafe, you agree:

• To verify ingredient lists and product labels independently
• To consult healthcare professionals for personalised guidance
• Not to misuse or misrepresent PregSafe's information
• Not to rely solely on AI outputs
• Not to circumvent or manipulate safety classifications
• To use the app for lawful purposes only

All content, including:

• Ingredient ratings
• Cosmetic safety database
• Branding
• Graphics
• Text
• AI prompts
• Code
• App features

is the intellectual property of PregSafe and may not be reproduced or distributed without written permission.

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile or modify the app
• Attempt to access data sources directly
• Input harmful, abusive or malicious content
• Use PregSafe to give medical advice to others
• Use PregSafe for commercial copying or redistribution of our data

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PregSafe and its founders, employees, contractors and affiliates are not liable for:

• Adverse pregnancy outcomes
• Fertility outcomes
• Dietary reactions
• Skincare reactions
• Inaccuracies in product or ingredient listings
• Reliance on our safety classifications
• Data inaccuracies from Open Food Facts
• AI-generated errors
• Interruptions, bugs or minor faults in the app
• Any consequential, incidental or punitive damages

Your use of PregSafe is entirely at your own risk.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PregSafe from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities or expenses arising from:

• Misuse of the app
• Breach of these Terms
• Reliance on information provided by PregSafe
